Florida Division of Insurance Agent and Agency Services Files Changes to Customer Representatives Rules

The Florida Department of Financial Services’ Division of Insurance Agent and Agency Services announced today, June 11, 2012, that it has filed changes to its April 20, 2012 Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for Rule Chapter 69B-213, which relates to insurance customer representatives.  

A summary of the changes follows:

  • Rule subsection 69B-213.020(1) pertaining to the definition of “customer representative”
  • Rule subsection 69B-213.060(4) relating to the designation of a customer representative supervising agent and the corresponding form
  • Rule subsection 69B-213.070(5)(a) relating to the status of an agent designated as the customer representative supervising agent
