Bondi sues foreclosure rescue firms in West Palm Beach

By The Associated Press

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi says two West Palm Beach companies have been defrauding homeowners who are in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure.

Bondi has filed a lawsuit and obtained a temporary injunction that prohibits MGD Management LLC, and CRS Marketing LLC and the owner, Mark Dalen, from marketing, advertising or providing foreclosure rescue assistance to homeowners.

Bondi’s office contends that the companies told homeowners that they could remain in their homes for three years without paying their mortgage, insurance or taxes. Instead homeowners were told to pay a monthly fee to the firms.

The state’s lawsuit, which includes copies of mailers distributed by the companies, says hundreds of homeowners have been victimized by the firm.

Dalen did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
