Draft Florida Flood Loss Modeling Standards Published; Review Scheduled for November 14, 2014

The first draft of flood loss modeling standards (“standards”) was published by the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology’s Flood Standards Development Committee (“Committee”) yesterday, November 5, 2014.

The Committee is scheduled to review various aspects of the standards at a November 14, 2014 meeting, including their purpose, required disclosures, forms, definitions and the procedures for related on-site audit review.  A portion of the meeting will be reserved for comments.

A follow-up meeting is set for December 16 to resolve any outstanding issues with the document and begin discussion on draft Meteorological/Hydrological Flood Standards.  An agenda for this meeting has not yet been published.
