Comments Requested: Legislation On Public Adjusters And Property Loss Insurance Appraisers

As previously discussed, the Task Force on Citizens Claims Handling & Resolution (“Task Force”) along with certain lawmakers will be analyzing potential legislation pertaining to Public Adjusters and Property Loss Insurance Appraisers.  The Task Force has scheduled a workshop for November 16, 2007 for this purpose.

We would like to provide the Task Force and the lawmakers involved with your thoughts regarding legislation that would reform the manner in which Public Adjusters and Appraisers operate in Florida.

Please provide your comments by November 9, 2007 to Michelle C. Alvarez by e-mailing her at malvarez@cftlaw.com.  Michelle will compile your comments and circulate to the group next week, prior to the Task Force’s scheduled workshop.
