Erin Siska, an Associate Attorney in Colodny Fass& Webb’s Insurance Regulatory Law and Corporate Transaction Divisions, was appointed Legislative Liaison to the Florida Council of the International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP), formerly known as the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW). In this role, she will be responsible for advising the Council on legislation affecting IAIP’s membership.

Previously, Ms. Siska served as secretary of the Broward Chapter of IAIP, the Insurance Professionals of Southeast Florida. 

The IAIP provides professional education, an environment in which to build business alliances and the opportunity to make connections with people of differing career paths and levels of experience in the insurance industry.

Ms. Siska has significant nationwide experience in insurance company licensing, compliance and regulation issues.  She works with insurers, reinsurers, insurance agencies, managing general agencies, third-party administrators and premium finance companies, among other regulated entities, on a multi-state basis. For her clients, Ms. Siska handles a broad array of compliance matters and corporate transactions, such as market expansion and withdrawal, Form A filings, responses to market conduct and financial examinations, and buying and selling books of business. Additionally, she often provides counsel to insurers on social media and advertising compliance and drafts legal opinions for corporate counsel with regard to purchases, mergers and acquisitions involving regulated entities.

Ms. Siska earned her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Florida International University, where she also received her Juris Doctor, cum laude.  She is a member of the Florida Bar Association and the Broward County Bar Association.
