Client-Focused Litigator Raquel Moya-Casals Joins Award-Winning Colodny Fass Insurance Litigation Team

A member of The Florida Bar and admitted to practice in the Southern District of Florida, Ms. Moya-Casals has experience handling first-party property insurance matters from pre-suit through litigation.  Her insurance defense caseload also has included bodily injury and Personal Injury Protection claims, construction defect suits, and product, professional and premises liability.

Known for her meticulous attention to client management, insurance defense lawyer Raquel Moya-Casals joined the growing Colodny Fass litigation team as an Associate in November 2015.

A member of The Florida Bar and admitted to practice in the Southern District of Florida, Ms. Moya-Casals has experience handling first-party property insurance matters from pre-suit through litigation.  Her insurance defense caseload also has included bodily injury and Personal Injury Protection claims, construction defect suits, and product, professional and premises liability.  Prior to that, she interned with Broward Judge Paul L. Backman in the 17th Circuit Court Criminal Division.

Having formerly served the City of Weston, Florida as part of the City Clerk’s department, Ms. Moya-Casals has worked extensively with municipal functions such as planning and zoning, public records and procurement. 

A graduate of St. Thomas University School of Law, Ms. Moya-Casals also holds a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies from Nova Southeastern University.

She is a graduate of Leadership Broward (Class XXVII) and former Governor of The Florida Bar’s Law Student Division.  Among other leadership positions, she continues to be active with The Florida Bar as a member of its Diversity Committee.
