State of Florida Challenges Ruling on State Farm Secrecy

A Leon County Circuit Judge should have required Insurance Giant State Farm to prove its Policy-Count Data was valuable to Competitors before allowing the Company to hide the data from the public, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation argued in its Appeal.  The Sun-Sentinel’s Ron Hurtibise reports.

The Denver District Court issued the order August 11 and placed a Permanent Injunction on Rio National Insurance Services and its President and CEO, Steven E.
