The Federal Reserve Board issued the following news release today, December 3, 2012: 


Federal Reserve Board Announces Chairs and Deputy Chairs of Federal Reserve Banks for 2013

 

The Federal Reserve Board on Monday announced the designation of the chairs and deputy chairs of the Federal Reserve Banks for 2013.

Each Reserve Bank has a nine-member board of directors. The Board of Governors in Washington appoints three of these directors and each year designates one of its appointees as chair and a second as deputy chair.

Following are the names of the chairs and deputy chairs designated by the Board for 2013:

Boston
Kirk A. Sykes, President, New Boston’s Urban Strategy America Fund, Boston, Massachusetts, renamed Chair.

William D. Nordhaus, Sterling Professor of Economics, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, renamed Deputy Chair.

New York
Emily K. Rafferty, President, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, New York, named Chair.

Kathryn S. Wylde, President and Chief Executive Officer, Partnership for New York City, New York, New York, renamed Deputy Chair.

Philadelphia
Jeremy Nowak, Former President, William Penn Foundation and Former Chief Executive Officer, The Reinvestment Fund, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, renamed Chair.

James E. Nevels, Chairman, The Swarthmore Group, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, renamed Deputy Chair.
