In 25 words or less, explain what you do.

Advocate for the needs of my clients.

Without using the words Democrat, Independent or Republican, conservative or liberal, describe your political persuasion.

Personal responsibility with compassion for those in need.

If you have one, what is your motto?

Work hard, play hard and pray hard.

During your career, have you had a favorite pro bono client?

I represented a guy down on his luck going through a divorce. He didn’t want much, but his soon to be ex wife was determined to take his Cadillac.  I made sure he got to keep his car.

Three favorite charities.

Arthritis Foundation, YMCA and Goodwill.

Any last-day-of-Session traditions?

Libations and card games.

What are you most looking forward to during the 2014 Legislative Session.

May 2.

If you could have another lobbyist’s client list, it would be…

Remy Danton.

Professional accomplishment of which you are most proud?

Passing legislation in 2011 that increased access to oral healthcare in Florida.  That work is not complete, but 2011 was a big step in the right direction.

Lobbyists are often accused of wearing Gucci loafers; do you own a pair of Gucci loafers? If not, why not?

No. The thought of buying anything Gucci has never crossed my mind.

Who is your favorite Florida Capitol Press Corp reporter and why?

Steve Bousquet…he has a mean jump shot.

Other than SaintPetersBlog.com, your reading list includes…

Sayfie, Wall Street Journal, USA Today.

What swear word do you use most often? – Dad gum it.

What is your most treasured possession?

A 24 carat gold golf putter I received for getting a hole in one.  I was 14 and the head golf pro gave it to me.  3 iron from 186.

The best hotel in Florida is…

Amelia Island Ritz Carlton

Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Rod Smith, Joe Scarborough.

Favorite movie.

Glory…Give ’em hell 54th!

Before the ‘gift ban’, what was your favorite restaurant in Tallahassee? What is your favorite today?

Pre gift ban, Hobbit Hoagie on Pensacola street. I was young, the wings were delicious and Golden Tee was $1.50. Currently, the Governor’s Club. I love Chef Brian’s New Orleans pedigree.

When you pig out, what do you eat?

Is Guinness a food?

If you could have dinner with a historical figure no longer living, who would it be?

Dwight D. Eisenhower.  A President, 5-star general and had a tree named after him at Augusta National (RIP Tree).
